Seriously, how amazing do these banana pops look? I couldn’t resist contacting Flo via Instagram when I saw this photo. So easy, creative and super delicious!!!! I love that you can have your kids get involved with this one.
Ingredients:
one banana, halved
dark chocolate/chocolate chips
nut butter
Crushed nuts, I used hazelnuts but you can use whichever you like
Straw or toothpick
Directions:
Melt your chocolate in a double boiler on the stovetop or in a microwaveable safe dish
A rough estimate for melting in the microwave is …
1 minute for 1 ounce
3 minutes for 8 ounces
3.5 minutes for 1 pound
4 minutes for 2 pounds
Run the microwave in 30 second-1 minute increments, stirring in between and rotating the bowl if necessary.
Take your banana and cut it in half.
Insert your straw or toothpick in one end of the banana so you have a ‘handle’.
Use a spoon and apply the melted chocolate and the nut butter onto your banana.
Now sprinkle on some of your favorite crushed nuts.
Put in the fridge for 10-15 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.
You could also put them in the freezer for an ice-cream-like texture.
