Step 5: People don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan

As the saying goes, “People don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan,” and this couldn’t be any more appropriate or true when it comes to eating healthy!


Meal planning was such an important element for us. Taking 10 min. out of your day to plan your meals for the week will make your life so much easier and keep you on a great routine! Everyday at 4pm, 80% of Americans have no idea what they’re going to make for dinner. There were times that that was us! This is a major reason people wind up eating unhealthy because there is no plan in place and the fridge and pantry aren’t stocked with the right items and the time to prep escapes them!  Sit down the day before you plan to go food shopping and list out breakfast, lunch and dinner in addition to an AM, mid-day and after-dinner snack.

Not only will you be more organized but grocery shopping will be that much more streamlined when you have your meals planned and can make your list accordingly.  Wegmans has a fantastic online tool where you can punch the items into your list and it will not only calculate how much you will be spending but it will also categorize everything by aisle!
